Christmas Roses

A few days before Christmas
My love sent to me
Roses delivered to my door
Because she could not be here

The flowers are beautiful
The first batch of roses is red
All two dozen of them

The next day
A second batch
This time a doze white roses
Arranged with complementary flora
A very lovely bouquet

I love the roses my babe sent to me
But I would give them all back
If I could have her here with me

The flowers are nice
But I miss my Sweetheart
My soul aches for her to be near

I love my Tammy-Vicky
I wish she were here with me now
No flowers
No matter how nice
Can take the place of her embrace

Still
These flowers are especially nice
A beautiful display to look at
And remind me
That my Babe loves me
